Work Release, Education Release, and Work Seek programs
have been suspended due to budget cuts.

The Macomb County Sheriff's Office offers the following programs:

•  Work Release: At the order of the court, inmates are allowed to leave the jail to go to work up to 12 hours a day, 6 days a week.

•  Education Release: At the order of the court, inmates are allowed to leave the jail to go attend high school or college classes.

•  Work Seek: At the order of the court, inmates are allowed to leave the jail 5 days a week to seek employment.

To qualify for these programs, the inmate must be sentenced on all charges and not have any outstanding warrants.
