Sheriff Mark Hackel at a DARE graduation

Currently Macomb County Sheriff Mark Hackel has two Deputies teaching D.A.R.E. in two public school districts and several private schools. Both D.A.R.E. instructors also work with various organizations to assist our youth.

D.A.R.E. is a new 9-week curriculum taught one day a week plus a graduation ceremony.

The classes focus on:
Healthy Decisions
Alcohol and Drug Awareness
Identifying and Resisting Peer Pressure

DARE is in all 50 states and 40 countries plus the U.S. Department of Defense Schools worldwide.
