Kent B. Lagerquist

Undersheriff Kent B. Lagerquist. Undersheriff Kent Lagerquist began his career at the Macomb County Sheriff’s office in 1974 as a Correctional Officer. His career has spanned through all aspects of the Sheriff’s Department operations; including, the Jail, Road Patrol, Marine Division, Dive Team, Communications and the Detective Bureau until he was appointed to his current position as Undersheriff in 2000.

Undersheriff Lagerquist serves as second in command under Sheriff Anthony M. Wickersham.

Undersheriff Lagerquist’s received an Associates Degree from Macomb Community College. He went on to further his career by attending the Macomb Community College Police Academy, Wayne State University, Oakland University and Macomb University Center.

Undersheriff Lagerquist has completed course work with the United States Secret Service, Advanced Police Management Studies, Public Safety Telecommunications, Emergency Management Leadership, and Advanced Homicide Investigation.

He is a certified Master Scuba Diver through P.A.D.I. and has been active in the Care House Center for Child Abuse; and, was a founding member of the Governor’s Task Force on Child Death Review for Macomb County.

Undersheriff Lagerquist is committed to maintaining the vital services that are needed to keep our community safe; while administrating plans to cut costs and save the dollars. He was born in Mt. Clemens and now resides in Chesterfield Township.
