Captain Elizabeth Darga

Undersheriff Kent B. Lagerquist. Captain Elizabeth Darga started at the Macomb County Sheriff’s Office in 1987 as a Corrections Officer. She was promoted to Deputy Sheriff in 1991. During her career with the Sheriff’s Office, She has worked as a Traffic & Accident Investigator, Evidence Technician, Fire Investigator, Detective/Team Leader, Macomb Auto Theft Investigator, Uniform Services Lieutenant and Detective Lieutenant.

Captain Darga was the Lieutenant in charge of the Detective Bureau and had been for eight years. This position included supervising Detectives, Youth Bureau, Computer Crimes, Criminal Jail Investigations, Friend of the Court Investigators, and the Polygraph Operator. She was supervisor of the Fire Investigators, Evidence Technicians and the Evidence Property Room. She also served as commander of Internal Affairs.
